The Judges of the competition are:
• Jenny Matthews, award winning photographer
• Sophie Batterbury, picture editor of The Independent on Sunday
• Mauricio Rodríguez Múnera, ambassador of Colombia to the United Kingdom
• Brett Jefferson Stott, director of Shoot Experience
• George Anang'a, development education, Plan UK

The theme for this year is CITY LIVING.
The competition closes on Wednesday 28 July at 6pm (GMT).
Winners will be announced on Thursday 12 August, International Youth Day, and the launch of the International Year of Youth (12 August 2010 – 11 August 2011).
THE BRIEFS
Any young person aged 11 — 25 can take and enter three photos (or drawings) to express their feelings on the following three briefs:
1. What does 'city' mean to you?
2. Growing up in the city as a boy or a girl
3. Country to city, city to country - people on the move
- You should enter one photo (or drawing) per brief and upload your entries to shootnations.org with a caption to explain what your photo is about.
- The photos (or drawings) you submit must be taken by you and you can submit entries that were created before the competition start date.

PRIZES
There will be prizes for the Best Overall Photo Worldwide, Best Overall Photo UK, Best Drawing Worldwide as well as Best Photo per Brief in each age group (11-16 and 17-25). The Best UK Photo will be chosen by MTV viewers at MTV.co.uk. A selected shortlist will be revealed on MTV.co.uk and voters will choose their favourite photo. The UK winner will win a trip to New York City for the launch of the Shoot Nations 'Visual Voices. Youth Perspectives on Global Issues' exhibition at the United Nations.

INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY
A light-box of selected photos will be presented to the United Nations in New York on 12 August 2010 to celebrate International Youth Day. IYD 2010 will also herald the launch of the UN's International Year of Youth, and the year's theme 'Dialogue and Mutual Understanding'. Photography is after all a form of dialogue and a way of promoting mutual understanding among cultures and generations.
Shoot Nations is hosting a two month long exhibiton of past project photos in the lobby of the United Nations Secretariat building in New York City. See www.shootnations.org/exhibition for more information.
DRAWINGS
If you do not have access to a camera you can submit drawings by post to Plan UK, 5-7 Cranwood Street, London, EC1V 9LH or to one of Plan’s regional offices.
